Ultimate Together

Good games. Great people.

Beginner-friendly ultimate frisbee is coming to the Howell–Brighton area in Spring 2027.

We are bringing people together for casual games, fresh air, and new friendships. Our first adult co-ed pickup games are planned for May. Join the list for launch updates and a chance to help shape the schedule.

Free to join the list · No team needed · Beginners welcome

Find your people. Find your game.

You do not need a team, years of experience, or a perfect throw.

Ultimate Together is a new community in Livingston County for people who want to get outside, learn something, and enjoy playing with others. Whether you are trying ultimate for the first time or coming back to a sport you used to love, we would love to have you help build it.

Learn as you play

We plan to introduce the basics at every session and give new players time to get comfortable. Nobody gets thrown in cold.

Come on your own

Join as an individual. Teams are picked at the session, so you never have to arrive with a roster or a friend in tow.

Encourage each other

Respect, effort, and good sportsmanship set the tone. That is the part of the game we care most about getting right.

New to ultimate frisbee?

Ultimate is a team sport played with a flying disc. Players pass the disc to teammates and score by catching it in the opposing end zone. When you have the disc you stop running and look for a pass, so the game rewards moving, communicating, and reading the field more than raw speed.

Our planned pickup sessions are about learning, playing, and enjoying the game together. If you have never thrown a disc before, that is a fine place to start.

Starting with spring pickup.

Pickup means people arrive as individuals and teams are put together for that session. No standings, no season-long commitment — you come when you can.

  1. Join the list

First name, email, and the city or ZIP you would travel from. That is all we ask for.

  2. Share your preferences

Optional questions about experience, days that suit you, and whether you would like to help organize.

  3. Get the schedule first

When the field and days are confirmed, you get the details and an invitation to the opening game.

Why we are starting Ultimate Together.

Hi — I am Tom, and I live here in the Howell–Brighton area. I wanted a friendly, low-pressure place to play ultimate close to home, the kind where you can show up on your own, learn as you go, and leave having met a few people. I could not find one, so I am starting one.

The plan is simple: casual adult co-ed pickup, beginners genuinely welcome, and a group that is encouraging on the field. If you have played before and want to help teach, run a session, or bring equipment, that help is very welcome — say so when you join the list and I will be in touch.

Questions people ask

Do I need experience?

No. We are planning a beginner-friendly introduction at each session and an encouraging playing environment. Plenty of people on the list have never played.

Can I join without a team?

Yes. The pickup format is designed for individual signups — teams are formed on the spot each session.

Where will games happen?

We are exploring fields in the Howell–Brighton area. The exact location will be announced once arrangements are confirmed, and everyone on the waitlist hears first.

When will games begin?

We are aiming for May 2027. Join the list for confirmed dates as soon as they exist.

Is this a formal league?

Not to start with. We are beginning with casual pickup. A more structured league may follow if there is enough consistent interest.

Can children play?

The initial plan is adult pickup, so the first sessions are for adults. We are collecting interest in future youth and family sessions separately — there is a box for it in the preferences form.

Does joining cost anything?

No. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to playing.

Can I help organize?

Yes, and it would make a real difference this early. Tell us in the signup preferences or through the contact page.

Let us build something worth showing up for.
